With its low internet censorship and peak broadband speeds, Hong Kong’s has a highly developed infrastructure for eCommerce startups. Combine that with a population obsessed with shopping, convenience and mobile phones and you’ve got the perfect breeding ground for an online shopping platform.
With online shopping in Asia to reach US$525.5 billion this year and every $10 spent online in Asia coming from China – you can see why eCommerce is still such a hot vertical to be in for startups.
So we’ve compiled a list of 10 eCommerce startups that are currently making their mark in Hong Kong. This will serve as a working list so if you think there’s a great eCommerce startup we should know – send over a nomination to us here.
#1 BaoBae
Offering items from over a dozen boutiques and designers, BaoBae is an online shop for anyone with mini fashionistas in their lives. Offering up items ranging from stroller toys, books and even furniture, BaoBae connects boutique retailers and local designers to offer gifts from the age range of newborns to 10+ years. #3 Konzepp
As a concept store that’s also as a café and co-working space, Konzepp unites the artistic and creative community in Hong Kong. On the eCommerce side, Konzepp sells contemporary items ranging from clothing, furniture, tech and eyewear. In-person visitors to the space can have a drink, shop and collaborate – all in the same day.

#8 LuxTNT
For those with a penchant for designer handbags but can’t afford the pricetag, LuxTNT steps in. As a rental hand-bag platform, LuxTNT users choose from a variety of handbags on their website, place an order and the bag gets shipped out. LuxTNT members have the option to rent bags from 3-30 days.
#9 Hypebeast
With their flagship store in Tokyo, Hypebeast is an underground online store for men’s streetwear and contemporary fashion. Along with shopping, Hypebeast is also a well-known editorial resource for those looking to stay abreast of fashion community updates with stories on art, music, design and lifestyle.
#10 MyDress
MyDress is a fashion social shopping platform selling trendy items that run the gamut from clothing, accessories and skincare. A self-dubbed “urban x luxury webstore” that features a mix of rare labels and contemporary fashion from both sides of the coin – street level and luxury.
