HR data analytics startups have been a hot area for M&A. See 10 startups working at the intersection of data and recruiting and workforce management worth keeping an eye on.
As big data increasingly makes its way into human resources departments, a diverse array of organizations are building new data-driven approaches to assist with hiring, retention and performance management. And much of the innovation in this area is coming as the result of a host of new ‘data-driven HR’ companies who are applying data analytics to recruitment and talent management.
These startups combining big data and HR tech are increasingly capturing the attention of corporations including LinkedIn, Workday and Cornerstone OnDemand – all of which have made acquisitions in this area in the past year. Most recently, LinkedIn acquired Careerify to boost its big data recruitment platform.
Last year, Workday acquired VantagePoint Capital Partners-backed predictive analytics human resources software firm Identified while Cornerstone OnDemand bought Lightspeed Venture Partners and GGV Capital-backed big data HR platform Evolv for $43M.
